Hi everyone! The name is Nicko and I am one of the latest and greatest additions to Houston Boxer Rescue. Can I tell you a quick secret? I am a fantastic dog if the right family were to come along for me! I have not been in a foster family for that long, but I have really behaved so well! I think I heard something about "I check all the boxes". Im not sure what that means, but if that is what you are looking for, well...here I am! I get along just fine with the other dogs in my foster home; in fact I even like to play with them sometimes...who knew that was so much fun? I am not the biggest fan of a kennel, but I will go in it and I dont really complain about it once I am in it. I don't go the bathroom inside the house (that is gross!). I am kinda new to the leash thing, but I do just fine if you would like to take me for a walk. I am actually starting to enjoy those as well! But my favorite thing these days is just some gentle TLC and companionship. I love being around people who like me!

You see, I did not always have it like this. I came to HBR with a bad rap. Don't run yet! Let me explain! I am really trying my best to be what my foster family refers to as "a dog". You see, I was kinda neglected and kept outside by myself before. I really did not like that so much. In fact, I tried to escape that situation a few times. Can ya blame me? But now that I am starting to see what life is supposed to be like, I do not dare try that anymore! I'm loving being able to lay down on soft floors and have a roof over my head every night. If you think you would like to give me this kind of life permanently, I promise you will not regret it! I have been told I will probably go fast, so get your applications in quick!!! Transport Fee:

Our basic transport fee is $300 for boxers traveling outside of Texas to their new homes up North. This fee may vary occasionally. Note: Transport is not available within Texas or Louisiana.
