My name is Cooper and I'm a 2 year old, male Boxer. I am a very friendly guy. I love all people and other dogs. The family that was supposed to love me and keep me safe moved away and did not take me. Instead, they left me tied to a tree. I was so scared and alone! The neighbors noticed that I was there and started to bring me food and water. Then, they called Boxer Rescue! I wish I could tell them "Thank You!".
I have a wonderful female Boxer in my foster home. The two of us get along just great and we play all the time. I am an enthusiastic guy so if you have toddlers I might accidently knock them over even though I mean no harm at all. When children in the neighborhood pass by, I am very happy to see them and they stop to pet me. The kids call me "Coopa" and I like to 'hold' their football by wrapping my paws around it when we play. I would love to have kids of my very own!
My foster Mom says I am just the best boy about going into my crate when she has to go out. She has taught me to 'shake' for a treat, I like that a lot! I have learned how to 'heel', and 'sit' on command. I know I can learn more stuff since I love people and food too! When playing with my toys sometimes I toss one across the room and will use my superior sniffer to find it again. That is pretty kewl! I am such a good boy I get to visit the gym while my Mom works out. She just loops my leash on a piece of equipment and I wait patiently for her. But boy, when she is done, I am ready to boxer boogie!
In the evening one of the best moments is winding down while sharing a bowl of cereal with my foster Mom! Don't get the wrong idea, she doesn't let me eat from the bowl until she is done! Woof!
Doesn't your home and heart need a handsome boy like me?

Special Needs: HBR had me all checked out and the vet discovered in low light conditions I sometimes have a difficulty seeing. I have what is called rod/cone dystrophy. It doesn't hurt. And I am a happy, playful boy! But when it starts to get dark, I might need a little assurance with stairs and stuff.
