The name Clara comes from the Latin name, Clarus, which means clear-bright-famous. Well, I don't think my previous owner understood what a precious prize I was. I am a very sweet 2 year old girl that and I have a few body scars from my time on the road. Obviously, I was not protected nor loved as I should have been. Sometimes I flinch when a hand reaches out to pet me and I am a little shy with men at first, but then I warm up to them.
My foster parents say I am "coming into my own". I think that is a good thing! They say everyone in their family likes me the best of all foster dogs so far, because I am so sweet and since I've had a hard life they want to love me all over, to make up for my past. I like that part a lot!
So far I know my basic commands and I am good on a leash. I am doing well with potty training and I'm crate trained.
I am a big time cuddle bug. Nothing would make me happier than to have your undivided attention. Some times I get a little jealous when I have to share my peeps with another pup. But, I am meeting other dogs and doing very well with my foster dog friend.
Favorite passtimes (besides loving my peeps) are to sun bathe in the morning, run around the yard, chase squirrels, play with toys and with you! I like to 'talk' (not bark) to my foster Mom and tell her all about my day or what I would like for dinner. Occasionally I may sneak onto the sofa, but I know I'm not supposed to and will get off when asked.
I have come such a long way and now that I am showing my sweet personality, won't you please come meet me? A fur-ever family would be my dream come true!!

Transport Fee
Our basic transport fee is $300, occasionally this price could change. This fee is for transporting our boxers outside of Texas up North. We do not offer transport in Texas/Louisiana.

There is a $27.00 Home Visit Fee which is non-refundable. (Note: This fee is non-refundable and does not apply to the adoption fee.) This policy is in effect for reasons we will be glad to discuss at the time of your interview.
