ROCKET needs a caretaker or foster!
Won't you consider helping him get a new start?
BEAUTIFUL BOY!
Since arriving in foster care I have advanced by leaps and bounds!! My foster Mom works from home and has made it her mission to break down the communication barrier! Since I am always eager to please, love treats and attention, learning has been a very positive experience for me. It is exciting to be able to interact in a way that totally pleases my person!
I may be deaf but it does not hamper me from being 100% boxer pup through and through! Deafies like me get placed successfully in adoptive homes all the time. It can help with training if there is a hearing dog in the home and it does make life less solitary for a hearing impaired pup.
So far I have learned to understand sign for: outside, leave it, sit, down, off, no, food, water, and watch me. WOWSA I know a whole lot more than many of my 'hearing' counterparts! That last one 'watch me' is VERY critical because if I didn't know what that was, it would be difficult for me to learn new things. But as you can tell by my accomplishments, there is NOTHING wrong with my brain! I am smart as a whip!
I am totally house and crate trained! I get along perfectly with my three female foster sisters. So far I've not been cat or kid tested but there is no reason to think I would not do well with children if my family stays consistent with the things I have learned. I love my yellow tennis ball and will play fetch until one or both of us drops. What can I say? I am a dedicated guy!
Have you checked out my VIDEO? I really like water so when my foster Mom set the sprikler out in the yard, I hijacked it to the patio so I could play! Then the darned thing got stuck under the chair! Rats! But I still managed to have a good time!
The sky is the limit for a fast learner like me! I'm a naturally curious, playful, and trusting canine. Please look into my eyes, open your heart, and give me a chance to show you what a wonderful boy I am!
